As we move from Alpha stage development to our Beta stage we are exploring different physical packages for our VIM-201 camera.
The first is a wrist camera case mounted on a UR3 robot arm with a Robotiq gripper mounted below it. You might mistake our camera for a Robotiq wrist camera, but it's a different beast entirely. Even in this compact form, it would incorporate the same Vision-in-Motion technology as in our blue-box Alpha cameras, so it doesn't have to stop to take a picture or process its image.
In addition to the wrist camera concept we are also seriously considering a side-mount camera as shown here. Yes, it really could be THAT small and yet provide all the functionality you've seen in our videos! If you want to provide feedback on either of these possible camera packages, please get in touch with us!
